Green Card Lottery - Photo requirements
To participate in the Green Card Lottery, you need to submit a recent photograph as part of your Green Card
Lottery application. When you enter the DV lottery, you will be required to upload a digital
photograph of yourself, your spouse (if applicable), and any eligible children.
Visa Application - Photo of the applicant
The photo requirements created by the U.S. authorities are a vital part of your visa application.

The photo must be in color.

The photo must be 2 x 2 inches in size.

The photo must be taken in frontof a plain white or off-white background.

The applicant must face the camera directly, with a neutral expression and eyes open.

Head coverings are only allowed if they are worn daily for religious reasons, and the applicant's face
must be visible.

Glasses may be worn, but there must not be any glare on the lenses. The photo must be taken within six
months of the application submission.
